Music Conservatory of Illinois

PERFORMANCE: 3/31 @ 7:30PM in Recital Room (1A)

Codex Trio was recently formed in 2023 by violinist Amanda Beaune, pianist Zaira Castillo, and cellist Isidora Nojkovic. Amanda and Zaira are both teachers here at the conservatory, and are excited to perform a program full of new music for the MCIL community! The program will feature works by Saariaho, Ran, Kramer, and Boissonneault. The performance is free and open to the public, and donations are always welcomed!

Performance Opportunities

There are many reasons and benefits for a student to perform for others, in addition to having a deadline to polish a particular piece. Both psychologists and pedagogues agree about strong self-growth and gain in confidence. Our most compelling intention, however, is for our students to enjoy sharing their music with others as well as be exposed to repertoire they may not hear anywhere else. I encourage you to participate in the following performance opportunities and even create your own mini-recitals at home so that your pianist will look forward to these events as a source of pleasure, growth, and self-expression.
