We celebrate the beginning of October and the arrival of Autumn with the Passacaglia project, an initiative created by one of our incredible faculty members here at the school, Nancy DeHaven. Our Passacaglia project, consists of a compilation of Students and Teachers performing themes based on the Handel/Halvorsen Passacaglia, presented on June 7, 2026 for the Music Conservatory of Illinois' 25th Anniversary Gala. It is a musical initiative to showcase the talent and progress demonstrated by our amazing students, it also helps them prepare for the coming winter recitals that will be held by our school as well as the 26th Anniversary Gala for the Music Conservatory of Illinois. Here at MCIL we aim to create and promote initiatives that help us bring our school closer to the community as well as strengthening our bonds within the MCIL community itself advocating for a nurturing environment where our students and faculty members can develop and share the love for music and artistic creation. See our video for the Passacaglia Project below and don't miss your chance to acquire your tickets for the 26th Anniversary Gala, with your purchase or donation you are helping the Fermi Music Foundation keep music and artistic education accesible for everyone.
