Darlene Koldenhoven visits our porch piano and gives a hint on new album
Our porch piano is still making waves! Yesterday we received an unexpected visit, it was Darlene Koldenhoven. Renowned vocalist, pianist and Grammy winner Darlene is in town promoting the release of her new book "Put Your Dress Down and Sing". The book features a companion solo piano album named Grand Memoir and yesterday she decided to gift us with an insight on one of the songs called "Impressions".
As it continues to work it's quiet magic the neighborhood porch piano receives world-class talent right out into the open air. With the delicacy and artistry that only someone as Darlene could accomplish our school was gifted with this beautiful live performance of the new piano album she has composed.
If you weren't able to catch it live, you can watch a snippet of her performance right here:
As we continue to be surprised by the magic moments that this porch piano keeps delivering, we would like to invite our MCIL community to visit Darlene's website and, if you are as moved and intrigued as we are for the life of this incredible artist, to check out her new book.
Wonderful piano and such a beautiful melody. Loved it!
